1. Introduction
CamCam is a photo editor. It is designed to process your photos on your device and to collect as little information as possible. CamCam does not require an account.
2. Information We Collect
We do not ask you for your name, email address or other contact details to use the app. Depending on how you use CamCam, limited information may be involved:
- Photos you choose to open or take in the app (see “Your Photos”).
- Preferences and edits stored locally on your device, such as favorite templates.
- Purchase status provided by Apple (see “Purchases & Subscriptions”).
- Standard technical information sent with network requests, such as IP address (see “Downloaded Content”).
- Information you send us when you contact us, such as your email address and message.
3. Your Photos
CamCam only accesses photos you explicitly select with the system photo picker or take with the camera. It does not scan or upload your photo library. Your photos are not uploaded to our servers.
4. On-Device Processing
Editing features — including beauty retouching, face and body adjustments, hair color, background removal and replacement, filters, adjustments, stickers and templates — run on your device using Apple frameworks such as Vision and Core Image. Face, body and hair detection results are used only to apply your edits; they are not used to identify you and are not sent to us.
5. Cloud AI Features
The current version of CamCam does not include cloud AI features. If we add any, we will label them clearly in the app, explain what is sent and to whom, and update this policy before they are released.
6. Camera & Photo Library Permissions
- Camera — only if you choose to take a photo in the app.
- Add to Photos — to save your edited photos. This permission lets CamCam add photos but not read your library.
You can change these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.
7. Downloaded Content
CamCam may download additional content, such as templates and backgrounds. These requests do not include your photos, but, as with any internet request, the server or content delivery provider receives standard technical information such as your IP address and device type.
8. Purchases & Subscriptions
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple provides the app with information needed to confirm your purchase status. Apple’s handling of payment information is described in Apple’s privacy policy.
9. Analytics & Diagnostics
CamCam does not include third-party analytics SDKs. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your iOS settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated usage statistics and crash reports, which do not include your photos.
10. Advertising & Tracking
CamCam does not show third-party ads and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
11. How We Use Information
We use the limited information described above to provide and improve the app, deliver downloadable content, confirm purchases, respond to your requests, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
13. Data Retention
Photos, edits and preferences stored on your device remain there until you delete them or the app. Deleting the app removes its local data. Messages you send us are kept only as long as needed to respond and for our records.
14. Security
Because editing happens on your device, your photos benefit from iOS security protections. We use reasonable measures to protect any information we receive; however, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
15. Children’s Privacy
CamCam is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
16. Your Rights & Changes
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to its processing. To make a request, contact us at hello@roxlabhq.com. We are based in Viet Nam; information we receive may be processed there.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date.
